You can start by visiting Aikido Hombu Dojo or finding an affiliated dojo in your country. Beginner's classes are held regularly at Hombu Dojo. No prior martial arts experience is required.
A traditional white judo or aikido uniform (gi) is required. Beginners may practice in comfortable athletic wear for their first few sessions.
Rank examinations (kyu and dan grades) are conducted by authorized examiners. Detailed examination guidelines are available on our website and at affiliated dojos.
Yes, visitors from affiliated dojos are welcome to train at Hombu Dojo. Please bring your membership card or a letter of introduction from your instructor.
